Since 2013, TJAX CNC Machining has partnered with a leading Australian laboratory automation manufacturer to develop custom automated sample processing equipment for a global healthcare brand. Challenge

The automated sample handling system required a diverse range of components manufactured from aluminium, engineering plastics, extrusions, and PETG panels. The manufacturing processes included CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, die casting, powder coating, and anodizing. Achieving a premium industrial aesthetic while maintaining strict cosmetic requirements — such as flawless powder coating finishes and virtually scratch-free PETG panels — presented significant technical and quality challenges.
